We are recruiting for an Information Security Analyst to join our Technology team. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing and securing both internal IT as well as live customer facing SaaS products with a public attack surface, experienced with widely accepted information security standards such as ISO-27001, SOC 2, etc. 

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize coupled with technical knowhow for deep understanding of the product and how our platform and its interdependencies work.  This role works with the DevOps team as a stakeholder to drive automation in our security processes.

Job Description

  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
  • Monitor computer networks for security issues.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Proactively monitor for and Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Develop and implement company-wide best practices for IT security.
  • Provide security Assessments and recommend remedial actions 
  • Perform internal penetration testing.
  • Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
  • Administer internal tools ensuring security best practice is enforced, eg. MFA
  • Develop ‘security information packs’ to be used by the Bid team, to improve the visibility and consistency of bid response information.
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.

What  you need to know

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
  • Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact
  • Prefer candidates with security certifications eg. CISSP, SSCP, CISM
  • Ability to legally work in Canada
